(Listening Session Schedule Update 👇) The Transparent Election Initiative (TEI), is grassroots, nonpartisan, citizen’s led effort to champion meaningful campaign finance reform and tackle the challenges posed by Citizens United. With his extensive experience in public service and dedication to ethical governance, Former Montana Commissioner of Political Practices, Jeff Mangan, is spearheading the project, aimed at promoting transparency and accountability in our electoral process.
TEI seeks to shed light on the world of political funding, empowering voters with clear information about money in politics, current law, while listening to fresh perspectives and out of the box ideas our citizens may have on this very important subject. It is the intent of The Transparent Election Initiative to focus on a grassroots effort to eliminate dark money that has flooded our system since the Citizens United decision.
TEI has initiated a series of listening sessions across the State of Montana. Jeff is meeting with Montanans, regardless of political party, to better understand their perspective and invite them to participate. “I want to hear your perspectives, your ideas, your thoughts on money in politics. Montana has the history of rolling up our sleeves and getting to work on dark money. It is time once again for Montana to lead this effort!” - Jeff Mangan
